Terms & Conditions
The terms governing registration for PSST-PR 2027, including the cancellation & refund policy.
1. Organizer & scope
These Terms & Conditions ("Terms") govern registration for PSST-PR 2027 — Porous Semiconductors, Science and Technology · Pacific Rim, 12–16 April 2027, voco Seoul Myeongdong, Seoul, Republic of Korea ("the Conference"). The Conference is hosted by Kyung Hee University, College of Medicine ("the Organizers"). Registration, payment settlement, receipts and refunds are operated by the Conference Secretariat / PCO, Trinity D&C ("the Secretariat"). By submitting a registration, you agree to these Terms.
2. Registration
Registration is submitted through the registration form on this website. A registration is personal to the named participant. The information provided must be accurate; the Secretariat may contact you to verify details.
3. Fees & payment
- The registration fee is a single rate for all participants: USD 600 (early-bird, for registrations received by 31 March 2027) and USD 800 (regular). Your rate is determined by the date your registration is received.
- International participants pay in USD; domestic (Korean) participants pay in KRW at the fixed amount stated in the payment instructions.
- Payment is made through the Secretariat — by the secure online payment window (credit/debit card or PayPal) once available, or as set out in the payment instructions e-mailed after registration. This website does not collect or store card details.
- The registration fee covers participation in the scientific program, refreshments, lunches (Tuesday–Thursday), the Tuesday poster-session dinner, the Thursday Banquet & Awards Ceremony and the Seoul tours. Dinner on Wednesday (tour evening) is not provided. It does not include accommodation, travel or visa costs.

A registration is confirmed when payment has been received in full. The Secretariat issues a confirmation and a receipt by e-mail. Unpaid registrations may be cancelled by the Secretariat after a reasonable reminder period.
5. Cancellation & refund policy
Cancellations must be sent in writing (e-mail) to the Secretariat. Refunds are calculated by the date the cancellation is received:
| Cancellation received | Refund |
|---|---|
| Up to 28 February 2027 | 100% of the fee paid, minus payment-processing / transfer costs |
| 1 – 31 March 2027 | 50% of the fee paid |
| From 1 April 2027 | No refund |
- Approved refunds are processed by the Secretariat to the original payment method, normally within 30 days of approval.
- Failure to attend ("no-show") is treated as a cancellation received on the first day of the Conference — no refund.
- If the Organizers cancel the Conference, registration fees are refunded in full. The Organizers and the Secretariat are not liable for travel, accommodation or other costs incurred by participants.
- If the Conference must be postponed or moved for reasons beyond the Organizers' reasonable control (force majeure), registrations remain valid for the new dates; participants unable to attend the new dates may request a refund of the registration fee.
6. Substitution
A registered participant may be substituted by another person from the same institution at no cost, at any time up to 5 April 2027, by written notice to the Secretariat.
7. Program changes
The Organizers reserve the right to modify the scientific and social program, including speakers, sessions and schedule. Such changes do not entitle participants to a refund.
8. Photography & recording
Sessions and social events may be photographed and recorded. By registering, participants consent to the use of such photographs and recordings for conference documentation and non-commercial promotion of PSST conferences.
9. Liability
Participation is at the participant's own risk. To the extent permitted by law, the Organizers and the Secretariat are liable only for damage caused intentionally or by gross negligence. Participants are advised to arrange their own travel and health insurance.
